Lulu Mall Lucknow Plants 10,000 Saplings to Support Uttar Pradesh’s Mega Tree Plantation Drive

Lucknow: Lulu Mall Lucknow joined the Uttar Pradesh Government’s ‘Vriksharopan Mahabhiyan 2026’ by planting 10,000 saplings, reaffirming its commitment to environmental sustainability and corporate social responsibility. The initiative contributes to the state’s ambitious target of planting 350 million trees as part of one of India’s largest afforestation campaigns.

The plantation drive was led by Jayakumar Gangadharan, Director of Lulu Mall Lucknow, who, along with the mall’s management team, actively participated in the campaign to promote a greener and more sustainable Uttar Pradesh. The initiative was coordinated by Sebatain Hussain, Public Relations Manager, who played a key role in organising the event.

Addressing participants, Jayakumar Gangadharan said environmental conservation is an integral part of Lulu Group’s commitment to sustainable development and responsible business practices. He noted that tree plantation is one of the most effective ways to preserve the environment and ensure a healthier future for generations to come, encouraging citizens to actively participate in such initiatives.

Sebatain Hussain said it was a matter of pride for Lulu Mall Lucknow to contribute to the Uttar Pradesh Government’s large-scale plantation mission. He urged people to go beyond planting saplings by taking responsibility for their long-term care and protection, emphasising that sustained public participation is essential for the success of such environmental campaigns.

Employees, officials and representatives from various departments of Lulu Mall enthusiastically participated in the plantation drive, planting a variety of tree species and pledging to nurture them as part of the mall’s ongoing environmental initiatives.

The organisation also reiterated its commitment to supporting future programmes focused on environmental conservation, green development and sustainability through continued community engagement and corporate social responsibility initiatives.

The campaign echoed the message, “Plant a Tree in the Name of Mother,” reinforcing the collective responsibility of citizens and institutions in building a greener, healthier and more environmentally resilient Uttar Pradesh.
